Just found my first Double Die! Just wanted to confirm it with your opinions. I was also wondering, what you think the rating is?

    Thanks in advance,

Wow, did you find that CRH? It looks like a legit DDO.

While I'm certainly no expert in doubled dies, I just don't see it the photos. Maybe I need my glasses checked.

Look at the bottom of the 6 or the top loop of the 9.

I see that, but on a heavily circulated coin, it doesn't look like a doubled die but rather PMD. Just my old eyes I guess.

nice notches. good match to 002, as others have said...cherrypickers says there's 3 main DDOs for the 1936 P and collectors like to have all three. you can see most of the wheat stalks...that helps up the ante a little, too.

Nope not roll searching. I bought 3 partial coin books at auction. In the book someone penciled prices for the coins. That one said 10 cents. I also got a 1931s penny all for $5. I didn't see it with the naked eye, like the original owner, but the loop I caught it. This coin collecting can get addictive. I just started really getting into coins less then 6 months ago.

    Lucky Day,

I guess it won't happen for a long while now.

I rate it a F12, Am I on the right track?

Thanks again for the help, every one!

I would be closer to VG 08.
    F 12 have a little sharper details.
I do see the doubling on the 1 9 and 6. They are a little mushy from wear,
    but it's there.
