Anyone gonna get one only making 100,000 sets. Gonna have a enhanced reverse proof Kennedy in it. Is this the first enhanced reverse proof?

I may, I'm not sure. The Apollo 11 coins will easily sell out, so barring any weird errors or varieties, none of them will command much of a premium in my lifetime. But if there is a sleeper in the mix, it's probably the reverse proof Kennedy.

And, to answer your question - no, the reverse-proof gimmick has been in the mint's tool box for a while now.

It says it’s an enhanced reverse proof

Add some laser frosting, make it higher-relief or whatever... it's still a reverse proof to me.

But I'm an old, cynical curmudgeon.

I like the coins, I'm not sure I'll like the prices.
I'll probably buy the MS Dollar and the 5 oz cereal bowl.
Maybe a Proof $5 Gold Foot Print.

Maybe. There is a limit of 400K on the silver coins. Of the 82 different silver dollars they have made since 1983 only 25 have sold over 400K and only 5 since the late 1990's. What may push this to a sell out is the fact that most collectors ARE older, and many of us remember watching the moon landing.

Price will be the real killer here. Metals up recently and the donations attached to the price of the coin. Still waiting to see a price or any limit info.

The surcharges for the silver coins are no higher than they have been since 1983. In real dollar terms they are much lower today than they were back then. The $10 surcharge in 1983 would be equivalent to a $27 surcharge today.

A higher price means less people are willing an able to buy it. The donation might be marginally cheaper now then before, but it’s still going to be fairly experience. I’ve seen people guessing around $219 for the flying saucer.

I’m guessing here, but I’m thinking around $89. Again total guess but based more or less off what we somewhat already know and what the min has done in the past.

Only 2 coins in set $89 would be pretty steep imo

    $59.95 would be reasonable

I been a long time collector that has never purchased from the mint before. I am like a kid awaiting Christmas wanting these new Apollo commemoratives. You guys really think these will be out in a matter of hours? I keep going to the mint website waiting for them to load up the info on these. Have yet to see a thing. How does a guy make sure he gets them. Play beat the clock on January 24th?

The gold might just like the baseball gold was. The half dollars basically no way unless someone decides to buy a truck load themselves, the silver dollars almost certainly not.

I don't know what the half dollar set mintage is so no idea on that one.

The 5 oz Frisbees are the wild card. They're going to be expensive and the mintage is kind of high, but they are the first curved 5 oz for what should be a popular subject matter. The big boys could decide to go in hard on those which should make a sellout.

    100,000 mintage on the set

depends if they have a limit on them or not.
If NO LIMIT then the big houses will buy as much as possible, limiting us from being able to buy them within the first 60 seconds ...

Well know more once prices and limits come out. Best advices is if you really want something, be there right at 12pm ready to go. Certainly a bit of a wild card here, could go a lot of ways.
