Romulus and Remus on ancient coin

    I loved that story as a child and as an adult I lucked up on a coin with them "suckling" beneath a jackal on a roman coin.

    URBS ROMA is the inscription on the reverse.

    Your coin was likely minted during the reign of Constantine I.

    That’s the She-wolf who raised them after they were left on the banks of the Tiber river.

    Howdy @Southernman189! I am cleaning a coin now with a R&R reverse. It's coming slow. Can't quite make out what the mint mark says. Maybe i'll put up the coin here this week and see what you think @frankjg.

    I also love the story of the twins suckling from a she wolf.
