2014 dark/brown dime

    The one on the bottom looks brown in the light and dark in general. Is it possibly copper?

    No it's just environmental damage. You can see the clad layer on your edge pic.

    I agree.. Environmenal Damage or exposure to the elements such as soil, dirt, and chemicals can affect the Clad Layer of Clad coins

    Such as my metal detected Quarters -

    Let's say a Dime were to be struck on a copper planchet.. It would be a Pre 1982 Copper Cent Planchet. So then, it would have to be the same size, width and weight of a Cent. Impossible also because a Blank Cent Planchet would not fit into the chamber when striking Dime Planchets.

    That's normal looking for a coin that has been in the ground for a bit. Environmental Damaged.

    I have the same quarter and am wanting to know some info on it. Whats it made out of, whats the value of it, and if its rare or not rare?

    Environmental Damage to the normal clad layer
    Not rare.. only worth 25 Cents
