Indeed they are, if you're collecting coins which are all of the same size. But with a mixed collection, that kind of goes out the window.
I have a U.K. album, actually two. One has farthings through thruppence. The other has shillings on up. I have a Whitman just for sixpence.
Do you know the brand of those, or are they not available online? The rounded corners are interesting.
An ebay search for "1000 archival coin flips" brings up a few results. I like the rounded corners myself. I get mine at a local coin shop, the Vernon Coin Center, in Vernon, CT. Usually about $50-55 or so when I go get them in person, the price fluctuates.
The rounded-corner flips are Meghrig brand. I switched to them last year, and prefer them to Saflips (which are also fine), because they're made of slightly heavier-gauge plastic and less prone to scuffing.
