The definition of "I've seen everything" gets expanded

seriously i like the plastic roll slabs. i wonder if pcgs will sell me those so i can store my rolls in them?

You've demystified the process and confirmed for me that there's absolutely no difference between "first day of issue" coins and any others. Whether a box ends up in someone's hands on the first day or not is completely random. It's intellectually dishonest to label them as if there's something special about them. I don't think PCGS is helping the hobby by doing this.
