I have a 1937, Pope Pius XI, Vatican coin with c50 as the denomination. I would call it "mint" since it is absolutely clean and shiny, and I can clearly see even the belly button and muscles on who I guess is the Arc angel Michael.

It was given to me by an elderly woman who visited Rome during that time. She "put it away," and thus its perfect condition.

I cannot find out what the "C" stands for in what must be the denomination value, C 50.

    So, is it worth anything?
    Thanks!

Hi Vmagboo and welcome to the forum :)

Your coin is in the Krause Catalog as Y#4. The "C" stands for Centesimi, so your coin's denomination is 50 Centesimi. It is made out of nickel. In uncirculated condition, Krause lists the value at $6.00.
