1943/42 nickel

I was looking for errors though the 1943 War nickel roll in hopes of finding the over date with little true feelings I'd find one. I DID! found the "spike" on the bottom of the 3 and I was more then thrilled. Look through your 1943 nickels!!

Not my coin. I see the tail on yours. I just couldn't tell cause of the grime and photo
if it has that barb, or if it might wash off.

 

I can't tell either. The photo blurs with I try to enlarge.

 

Can't tell from the OP pictures but does it show the horizontal line inside the bottom curve of the 3?

 

yes the line does slice through the bottom curve of the three in the open area.
