Today I dig out 2 coin one silver and one bronze. Silver is probobly Marcus Aurelius. Bronze is Gordian III. If I'm wrong corect me Marcus Aurelius Gordian III AE Sestertius. 240 AD, 4th issue. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / AETERNITATI AVG S-C, Sol standing front, head left, with raised hand and holding globe. RIC 297a, Cohen 43.
Happy New Year! Congratulations! Keep digging! Show us some action shots of you and some of these landscapes, if you are able and willing to. I'd love to see that.
That's pretty cool. I'd love to live somewhere where metal detecting is worthwhile. I can't tell if the portrait is Severus or Marcus Aurelius. Probably Severus because if you look carefully the first letter of the inscription is an "S".
Yep, you can see “L SEPT SEV...” Septimius Severus. That’s awesome. I would love to find something like that! I’ve found arrowheads but the oldest coins you can find where I live is only 150 years old or so.

Bojan, When you speak of digging out a new coin do you mean it literally (e.g. with a Metal Detector) or metaphysically ???
Well done, Bojan. You have dug up more than Coca Cola tins - much more ! It would be good to know what your work, and research, has resulted in. E.g. what links did the ancient Romans have with the area, and what brought them there ?
