100$ loomis box of nickels found AU 1950-d. Thought it was unc, but a bit too much chatter on shoulder. Still 5 rolls to go. Nothing else worth speaking of in the box just common date 40s and 50s.

Got 5 rolls of nickles today and found two worth keeping. Not worth much but a nice find in my eyes.

Happy New Year everyone, I just finished up my first 4 boxes of the new year and I pulled 1-66, It is better than no silver, though I would like to have seen a better start to 2019. I wish you all the best of luck in 2019, I hope you all find what you are searching for.

Finally searched a Loomis box of small dollars I bought a couple of weeks ago. Still looking for that elusive Denver Nixon Presidential, when I do I will have found every one for my P&D Dansco. I did find a number of NIFCs, some of which I needed for my backup folders. Also a 1981-P and a 1979-P gold plated SBA. A fun break from searching halves!

Got a CWR box yesterday. Through 5 rolls the hilights are a decent 57D and three or four spectacular 82 copper.
    Clean and undinged.

Have gone through 6 boxes of halves this week. Found a couple of 64’s and a handful of 40%ers, not too great but not a skunk either. Bought a Loomis box this morning and found a Bender! Will search it later.

Well, the box with the Bender turned out okay, not great:
    1951-S Franklin
    1964
    1967
    5 x 2002+ NIFCs
    1992-P Toner
Done with boxes for the week. Thinking about cutting back to 2-3 boxes in the weeks ahead.

Soo Just got a box of pennies today. When I look back the teller may have been smug. Come outside...look at the box all 2018 uncirculated... I'll post results from my last box later.

I am itching to search some rolls! My family experienced two totaled cars in December, and then I went on vacation for the past two weeks. Now that I am back in my town I am looking forward to getting both cars back on the road to free-up some of my time for roll searching. When the cars are back on the road I may also (foolishly) place an order for a couple boxes of halves to kickoff 2019! Good luck everyone :)

    I scratched my itch:

    3 banks tonight yielded
    5 Ikes
    $120 cwr halves
    $1.50 loose halves

I haven’t checked the cwr halves yet. Nothing special in the Ikes, the loose halves included 2 NIFC, MS 2012D and P.

Another bank had a box of halves, but the vault was closed for the night. I’ll buy the box tomorrow

My second set of 4 boxes had three skunks and I pulled 1-67 and 1-68, and my last four boxes for this week all skunks, so I pulled 3 40%ers for my first week of 2019. When I was dumping my second set of boxes yesterday I asked the teller helping me cash my dump ticket if she had any halves, and she told me she had $14.50 in loose halves, I asked if I could check them out, and when she put the first stack on the counter, I said I would buy them all! Yes she had $14.00 in face value all 40%ers. I picked up 28 40%ers from the teller. Everyday across the country people are still cashing in silver half dollars for face value. So I picked up $65.00 worth of silver for $14 bucks. If I can get them in my small town, I can guarantee everyone its happening where you live too. Remember anytime you are in a bank always ask tellers if they have halves. 3-65, 2-66, 7-67, 14-68 and 2-69's This made my week for sure. Enjoy!
