It's real Frank, you're much better qualified at making this determination than some of the skeptics who ALWAYS will say "it isn't real" or "I don't know, better have it certified" often leaving a lesser collector to wonder and worry. Remember, you're a Half-Dollar-Guy and have been one for a long time. We've both see the skeptics put that little bit of doubt in an owners or potential buyers mind and before long the coin in question is "For Sale" and quickly snatched up by the individual who raised the alarm.

(edited to add) Certainly not anybody who's posted to this thread. Just cagey/trickey buyers in general...

Stick to your initial opinion unless the silver washes off or the coin melts (chocolate) in the car... LOL

    Ben:
Thanks, and now I know where that chocolate on my hands came from!

Nice pick up Frank! I believe that the Obverse is tetering on AU-50 and the Reverse AU-55 for a net grade of AU-53.

    clembo,

It looks like spock instead of Phoenix took your advice on robbing the store but he went for the Scotch instead!

While store clerks can be creative in a pinch - I'm sure Spock got the coins and Scotch without the ID check! ;) Lets just hope he shares with the rest of us!!!:)
