hello everyone, I am sure a lot of you have seen the commercial from the National Collectors Mint. They advertise morgan silver dollars available for $19.90 for bu to f condition. I went to the site to have a look and saw that they offer a wide assortment of morgans at a range of prices. I guess i just wanted to know if anyone has purchased from them before, and how good or bad your experience was with them. Thanks a lot.

I would strongly avoid such companies. Chances are excellent that the coins are over-graded and/or priced too high. As a general rule of thumb, I have yet to see a company which includes the word "mint" in its name, offer good coins at good prices. Personally, I believe that the word "mint" is used to attract unknowledgeable buyers.

    Replicas

National Collectors Mint offers a lot of "Replica Coins". You have to be pretty careful when buying from them. Most of their authentic coins are overpriced and overgraded.

I would agree what was previously said, and also say that you may want to go to local coin shops and buy from there first. Also you may want to if you do not already, buy a Red Book. That is the price guide used to determine a coins vaule from year to year. There are others also, I am sure some of the other members may have suggestions as well. However stayaway from the "To Good To Be True" deals, because they most likely are.

I saw the ad on TV too. I especially liked where they graded the coins to be "Brilliant Uncirculated-Fine". Even if you understood what they were doing, guess which coin you'd be getting.
