pre 1501 AD coins with dates

@HoledandCreative You are DEFINATELY NOT who I was describing in my
comment. The people I associate with at work and socially. They get
a glazed look in their eyes and pretend to be interested, even after the
fact that THEY wanted to see my collection. You on the other hand
have shown great enthusiasm and ask questions that are very relevant
to the topic. Lucky for me I can answer them. How about posting some
of your treasures here so that I and others can enjoy them.

 

@panzerman Thank you for the kind words! I will have one more piece
from Julich to post. One or two others need Todd's magic. Those gold
Dinars are in great condition. All from different mints. That Hamburg
ducat is a favorite of mine. I hope to upgrade mine one day. For now
it will have to do.

 

As promised a piece from Julich-Berg. this
from the Mulheim mint. The date is on the
inner circle.

 

Relatively nice coin. The date "82" is
squeezed in, to the left of the cloverleaf
mintmark.

 

A relatively rare piece minted in Antwerp.

Minted in Vienna. The "2" looks like a "Z".

@panzerman That Brandenburg is beautiful. I'm going to send
my piece to Todd soon. Mine pales in comparison to your coin.

 

That Dehli piece is choice. Are there any differences in the Islamic
script on your Dinars and Dehli pieces.

 

This is the first copper piece with a date. Struck at
Antwerp. The copper pieces are some of my favorites.

 

Nice clear date. Struck at Antwerp.

 

A single Briquet also struck at Antwerp.

 

Uncertain mint. This variety with a short cross.

 

I know I'm posting quite a bit today but I might not

I am learning a lot....
Some notes, that Brandenburg coin was an "unsold" lot, from German auction, so I snapped it up for starting price. I got a 1516 recently from V-Nummus auction, in MS.
Islamic coinage, I have about 120, they all have script (that I cannot decipher) Every coin has name of ruler/ mint/ AH date/ slogans/ etc.
Islamic gold coins are easy to get in FDC/MS then early dated European gold coins.
