Oh great..... Here we go again with the ICG bashing. It gets SO old.

 

NGC does have a clear gasket they don't use very often, but I am almost positive that picture is an old PCGS gasket that had the multiple rings

 

Didn't they have a clear one for NCS?

 

NCS slabs were completely clear as far as I remember. NGC still does have clear ones that they use on regular holders and you can find multi coin and the big holders with them as well.

Look at the pictures under the "Numbered first struck editions" tab and you'll see the clear ring. I like it better than the horrendous white fingers, but people seem to freak out not knowing if the slab is real or not

Before , I used to get prompt, semi-polite and (at the time I thought) honest professional answers/opinions to my questions. It seems that once I the thread about my 2001-D Error coin, (which by the way I received today carrying a Partial Brockage Mirror on Obverse Mint Error VF20 label) most of my threads have been ignored. I have been advised not to picture the new find or any of my personal collection in their entirety at this point until all of the copy-write issues are in place. As to this coin mentioned in the post I was specific not to mention any coin in particular or the picture in their holders. I used some "examples" from my collection hoping some member,( like 1 did ) might give me a proper answer to a generic question. Instead the ritualistic grilling and innuendo ensued. Shy of the Mod. and some others I am from their same era better known as the baby boomers where respect was taught everywhere. From scholastic activities to Sunday services to our Elders respect was an innate behavior in 95% of Americans everyday lives. "Tolerance only for those who agree with you is no tolerance at all". @tammiGee The 64-D you posted is not in a “fatty” slab, as far as I know the “fatty” is the old NGC no-line holder.

Listen, it’s hard to understand what you’re trying to say. Next time just post pictures of the coin you want to discuss and we’ll be all on the same page, ok?
