    I found this penny and weighed it to see if it was copper. I also googled ir and it said if it weighed between 2.98 and 3.24 it was indeed copper heres a picture of mine.

    Yes it is worth money. 1 cent. You have a perfectly normal copper 1982D Large Date cent.
