I have a 1993 penny and the bottom half of the entire wording "one cent" is doubled. How rare is this? Also about how much is this penny worth? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Depending on what caused the doubling you are seeing. Flat shelf like would be machine doubling. If it is rounded it could be hub doubling. So show us what you have and we will go from there.
Here are the best pic's I could come up with let me know what you think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You might have to zoom in but hopefully you'll be able to see the doubling Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Is that area below ONE showing any gray? If so it is split plating. Die deterioration also shows as flowing to the rims. you see it often on the date (to the right) LIBERTY (to the left side). So from images I can't tell exactly. But it is not hub doubling. Note the last image in this collage of 1983P-1DO-001 http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/coop49/1983P-1DR-001.jpg It is too long to fit the thread. Sorry
Sorry I saw the 1983 and didn't realize it was a 1993 till after I posted. But the principle applies though.
Thank you for the information. Is this rare though? Also hoe much is this worth? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
