Brett Charlville, the new PCGS President, that is. He's reaching out to people who registered for the FUN lunch for a quick intro and to let us know how customer service is going to be "blown up in a good way." Good first impression!
It's going to be an interesting lunch. They need to bring out something cool to offset all the negative news the last few months. Should be Fun.
That says something that the MAN is calling...... Sounds like he wants to have his finger on the pulse of what is going on.
They (PCGS) always had an abundance of sample slabs to hand out at the FUN show. The other guys were stingy..........
I got a call in and waiting for a return. We're going to see whether PCGS will do the right thing and pull the cert number for the "dealer" with the misattributed coin. Yes, it's still listed and the list of dealers that know what he's doing has now reached double digits. That would be a good start to really change their image.
And when I use "blown up" above, I mean that they are going to be making it their top priority to improve customer service, not that they are going to destroy their customer service department.
Nobody called me..........I probably would't have picked up anyway.........scammers........If I don't recognize the number on 'caller ID' I ain't pickin' up........
Some guy from India claiming my PC is breached by bad guys, and he's gonna help me fix the issue.........no thank you.
NGC sent me an email wondering if there are any topics I would like to hear brought up at the reception. Looks like both services are trying to reach out to customers.
Sometimes I answer and say "Thank you for calling the Federal Bureau of Investigation Fraud Investigation Unit how may I help you". For some reason they swear at me and hang up and I don't know why.
Love it, @Rushmore. What I hate is how the scammers have begun to use small towns in the area as the origination of the call. Steve
Some of you got calls from the PCGS President - that is really something !!! (At first I thought it was just from Mr. Trump !).
Scammers also call businesses too. What they do is latch on to the phone number of our clients at work, we have caller ID so when they call we think its a client, answer and the next thing I'm getting is a recording about open enrollment or eliminating credit card debt.
When I see an unknown number I lay the receiver in front of my speaker that is playing a talk radio station on I-Heart radio. After 30 seconds of that I check to see if there's anyone on the line then hang up.
I have a Google Pixel cell phone, so I have their new Call Screening feature. It's pretty nice. The scammers almost all hang up when it answers, and I can answer the call when I see it's from someone legit.
