Ok here the scoop wife and some friends go out shopping, they go to some antique stores she call me and said there is a coin here, that says one dime on the back but its not like the one we use now, she says it has this face with wings on his hat, well i say its a merc dime, she says do you want it, im like sure what year is it, she said 1916, i almost shocked so i ask her turn it around, were it says ONE DIME is there a small letter D some were, she says YES,my high pressure started to kick in, so i ask her how much $$$$$$$, she says i cant tell you, me way ,cus i want it to be a surprise, well i tell her are you sure it a 1916 with the little D in the back, she says i can see the D perfectly, my thoughts it must be in vg vf shape, ok nothing else i can do but tell her it better not be to expensive, she says don't worry.
I get home from work my wife has not gotten back from shopping, I start pacing shes finally gets home i ask for my coin, she told me she cant give it to me yet, what why, I'm going to gift rap it with some other things for valentines day. so i ask her is it nice, she says yes, is it in a 2x2, she ask what is that, i tell her one of the little white cartons i put my coins in you know the ones i staple, she says no. Ok your going to have to give it to me so i can put it in a 2x2 so it wont scratch,(in my mind this is my chance to see the coin) i'll give it right back so you can rap it, she says ok you know what it is anyways, she pulls it out of her purse and OMG I almost lost it, my presure got too 1,000 when i saw it. i have some scan of it you guys want to see them
