so im trying to save money for rolls of coins right? guess what i did....i quit my job at burger king... i might get hired back but it will be hard considering i just walked out... this sucks....but it might be for the better, i can slow down and actually READ BOOKS now... who knows:rolling:
If it was a "job" don't despair there are plenty of "jobs". If is was a career, you have yourself a good stiff drink and say some prayers. A good rule to follow: never quite your job until you've gotten another job, no matter how much they're ****ing you off. Collecting sucks with no money to spend!!! I know, I've lived this senerio. Good Luck and Think Possitive. Allen
yeah,. whats it a job or a career? Did you work for a company and so stuff. or was it at Subway or something?
dont let it worry you. you know how much i love coins yet there was a 5 yr period where i couldnt afford to colelct money from circulation let alone stuff from the mint. take a chill pill and work towards your goals you will get chances again
burger king...lol, i hope its not a career but with economy+my GPA(dont wait to get a 3.2 for your senior year like im doing now)= might be hopefully when i go to college to major in accounting things will be better and hopefully i can find a new job quick
Well, depending on where you are located, you can either shovel snow or mow grass for spending money until something else comes along. Its difficult to give advice when we dont know the magnitude of the job/career loss. Did you work at McDonalds or were you part of the executive staff at Microsoft.
I hope you find a new job! As a young sophomore, I am starting to look into a job, because I will need a little money with the school I want to go to (Middlebury College, Vermont). Hopefully my 4.0+ will help me get there!
Don't sweat it too bad. It's definitely a mistake just to walk out on a job. I know because I've done it before too. No shame in making mistakes- just learn from it and move on. You never know- you might just find a better job. Andy
I agree with Andy and I've done it a few times myself in the past. Look at it this way too Stainless - you're young dude. You will work for the rest of your life. I started working when I was 14 "because I needed money". My dad said "you'll work the rest of your life". Wish I had listened to the old man as I've been at it for the 31 years since then and am a long way from retiring. clembo
Don't sweat the little things, when having your job means a little spending money, thats one thing. When having your job means eating or not, thats another.
true, bt from a collectors standpoint, this isnt good.... thanks for the support... i probobly wouldnt have much longer there any ways i made a little over $2,000 in 500 hours of work last year... theres no way i can pay for college on that
Man, that bites. Sorry to hear it man. I've heard "horror" stories of fastfood working. I even have a few jokes for it. Best of luck with finding another job man! :thumb: Phoenix
stainless..it will be ok. i did the same thing to long john sikver's 24 yrs ago. i got hired by pizza hut w/in a month. you can continue w/ fast food service due to your experience. high turnover is common at these places. you can also apply skills learned there to another area (grocery stores, ect.). you are young, things will be fine for you. keep studying, set goals, and start your job hunt. hang in there dude, it will work out fine. hey, some pizza delivery guys make good money! best wishes...steve
sorry to hear you walked out. now you are able to read books.....but maybe not buy any until things get better, good luck!
Just curious, ever find anything in the change drawer at BK worth keeping? If I could afford the pay cut, I'd go work at a bank tomorrow and take my pick of all the good stuff being dropped off!
no, i was always in the kitchen... UPDATE: they wont hire me back:headbang: looks like i gotta find another J.O.B.
hope you get another job soon. it really does suck not having much or no money to spend on collecting. i just lost my job a few weeks ago, its going to suck the next time i want to buy a coin and don't have the money. :desk:
