1970s small date Yes or no?

    Looks like a large to me they say hi & lo 7. To me the 0 looks hi which means the 7 is lo. So its Lg

    Thanks that helps. I love it when you folks give me a different way to look at coins. I realize now it's a large date. For some reason it looks different from other large date coins I have. That's why I check with you guys, and as always you have been so helpful!

    Oh hey im by no mean an expert.! Just an old man been collecting for the last fifty years i actually i liked your post cause i have two of those in a clear plastic 2x2 stuck in its prospective spot in among the rest pretty sure thiers one of each at least they look different

    Well, to me you are a pro! I'm retired, and found old coins when each parent died in their belongings. So, 3 months ago, I started this hobby, learning about pennies first. So much to learn!! Thanks for your input. I know I should begin a new thread, but what is your opinion on acetoning copper cents?

    Well the one and only time i put. Chemical on coin was nik a date to bring back a date on a buffalo nickel and and my mom would use a very small amount of dish soap in luck warm water an gently gently wash and pat dry with a non abrasive cloth and only if the coin was super crudy un read able even as a rule i was taught cleaning is a cardnal sin!!!! :artist::arghh: !! "OH No!!!!

    Well, I have some coins I've soaked in distilled water. Some cleaned up fine. However, the ones I want to rinse(we won't say clean), are already a mess, so they are worthless anyway, I guess. I'm debating still.

    OK im not trying to rain on your parade ! If ya already have your feet wet why not. Hey its all about having fun and enjoying your collection think we have all experimented at one time or another☺!

    Thanks, I'll take before and after pics. If you go to coin errors forum, I just sent pics thete of a clipped planet coin. Is that what it is? I've her seen one in person. It looks like more than a rough life. It's smooth.
