    Minted in the early part of 211AD, the year of his death.

    I'd always imagined Geta to have a Julian II-ish personality... but from what I understand, he may have been as cruel and ruthless as his older brother.

    Oh, that denarius in the OP with the confronting busts is superb!

    Looking back to see what the Geta denarius in my old collection was, I find I am without a picture of it. It was in decent grade as I recall, but of a fairly pedestrian type.

    Your right, so much for trying to rely on memory alone. They say it's the first to go & since I now wear glasses it's safe to say my memory isn't what it was.
