    Hello Everyone,
I need your help, PLEASE. I have only kept a few coins over the years and recently got them out to look at them after our move to a new house.

I have come across what looks like a 1965 silver dime I saved.
I have not cleaned it and I can barely make out the last digit of the date but looks like a 5. It does not look like the nickel and copper dimes of 1965 to present. It has no copper on it. I do not know a thing about coin collecting except what I have been reading on the internet. I am confused about this dime. It does not have a mint letter on it either. I will be putting a picture of it on as soon as my camera battery charges (argh!)

Any information you guys could lend is very much appreciated!
    THANKS!!!

Sounds like the 5 is actually a 3.
1963 not 1965 Just my guess without pictures.

Pics please. Silver was no longer used in dimes after 1964.

Thanks so much for your reply. I am charging the battery for my camera as we speak and will have pics within 30 mins. I've been looking at it with my magnifying glass and it is just too dirty to make out clearly but I really think it is a 5. Don't clean it right?
