Nope, I won't go that far. First, no proof or enhanced in my ASE Dansco, just bullion strikes with no mintmark. Second, I DO NOT DO SILVER MEDALS! They can make all of them they like, I'll never buy one. No Liberty, no Twin Towers, no Presidential, no World War I, no nuthin'. They can ALL lie there and bleed, for all I care.
I have 2 Dansco albums one the uncirculated and one for the proof. I agree with the medals, I need to remove them.
I do like the Carr reverse, except I'm not wild about the incuse mirrored "ONE DOLLAR". Of course, it's a nitpick. Overall, very nicely done.
I was looking at one of my DC quarters and noticed the ghosting around the nose, lips, chin and neck. The WE in the motto ain't too shabby either. Me likey. Can't wait for the 1919 BS Peace...
I snagged one of these for melt yesterday. MS69 I will photo it when I get it in hand. 2013 Clark Gruber & Co. Gold Half Eagle Struck in native Colorado gold, .825 fine. Approximately 15% of the alloy is naturally-occurring silver. Weight varies from about 8.7 grams to 8.9 grams. Net gold content is comparable to a traditional US $5 gold piece. One test was multi-struck on a 39mm brass blank. All were truck with Die pair 2, incuse “JBL * DC” on neck truncation.
It looked good for the short time it spent in my hands. Sitting in layaway. I am short funded this holiday season.
