Altogether not bad for the type. Quite likely cleaned at some point, now lightly toned.
It does have some edge taps, but no major damage to the rims or serious planchet marks as often the case with these big coins.
By and large a satisfying (and relatively scarce) coin.

    How would you grade her?

    VF-35 cleaned. I like it.
Edit: If cleaned it has recovered well, so a TPG might give it a straight grade.

    Very nice example.

Mine is overdue for a better pic, over 9 years old.

XF-40 ...from the pics I don't see any harsh cleaning.

The edge taps are minor and to be expected with such a large Coin. What impresses me is the absence of hits and distracting marks.

I'm with Bust Chaser. EF40 and the cleaning seems to be market acceptable.

VF30/35 - the surfaces don’t look too bad IMO!

I'll say EF40. raised ribbon edges and very clear LIBERTY. nice rims as pointed out in the OP.

An old cleaning but I think it would be in the 35-40 range.

Thanks, everybody for your comments. I was hesitant to go beyond VF30 on this one, but I tend to undergrade seated coinage.
Yes, too bad about the once-time cleaning - it is difficult as hell to find seated dollars with original, untampered surfaces. Still, this is a nice, undamaged example at a price I can live with.
