good luck, their quoted turnaround is probably an average of volume submissions by dealers and not one coin by ordinary collectors
I called about my submission dated 27 Dec, and they said the were running about 2 weeks behind. They said I'd probably get mine around 30 Jan. But yours seems to belie that estimate. Let us know the results of your call. FYI, here's the latest ANACS location and phone. The phone # works since that's the one I used. 6555 S. Kenton St, Suite 303 Englewood, CO 80112 1-800-888-1861
They are probably over at ICG. LMAO!!!!:high5: Didn't half the graders defect over there and vice versa. They should have just done a merger and called it ANICG
Same "problem" here: They recieved my coin in mid December (my post service told me so). But I have not heard anything from ANACS (economy service): no email, no status update, nothing. And is it normal that they do not answer Emails? This was my first sending to ANACS.
Their zip code is 80111. I notified them that their web site and email blast was wrong several weeks ago, but as of a couple days ago, it was still incorrect.
I sent them an email with a question about submitting and still have not received a reply. I (and my money) will be going some where else. These guys gotta be kidding me... Jim
Received my coins back today...I guess they are starting to get cought up. They say they will be up to date by March 1st
The good news about the new ANACS is that the head graders/authenticators are the same guys who worked for ANACS for 20+ in the 70's/80's/early 90's (JP Martin and Michael Fahey) and they are excellent graders/numismatists, plus it seems that James Taylor was able to pick the best graders from the 2 companies and merge them into one firm, which means the grading should be high quality. The same as when they moved to Austin, there will be some slowness due to their recent move, but it sure looks promising, as long as they don't get drawn into doing anything stupid (pandering to TV marketers who require quantities of the highest grades for their prey, I mean customers).
What's more important to me CT is the grading policy and standards that Taylor makes them use. No matter how good the graders are, if they have to follow lousy standards the end result will be lousy.
