2017 dd or error

    I found this 2017 P penny but i need help identifying whats wrong with it & what should i do if it is ???
    am new to coins

    I think you have something there.
    IMO, it's hard to blame that on plating issues.

    I believe Rick is correct. I don't recognize it but check on Wexler's site first. Your photos appear good enough to email to him to see if he would like to investigate it further.

    Did you send it to Wexler? Heritage is an auction house and is not going to tell you what you have.

    Heritage did not confirm that your coin has an error. They simply told you that they auction off coins of value, unless there is more of that message we can’t see.

    Not saying that you don’t have something. I honestly have no idea.

    Best to wait for Wexler. It’s the holidays and I assume he’s not checking email as often. I know I’m not.

    John Wexler has not been well for several months and is way behind on what has been submitted to him. Please be patient. You might try and contact Ken Potter in the interim and see if he can help.
