In the companion thread I wrote (addressing @lordmarcovan ):

The other side is the portrait obverse of a Roman Emperor. The first clue: he professed peace early in his tenure.

Now it's MY turn to be stumped.

I certainly hope you're not being as tricky as I was! :p

Well, at least I think this one is really an ancient and not something that merely looks like an ancient.

I see a standing figure with a (garland? cornucopia?) over his/her left shoulder. A deity or personification, maybe.

    Or pareidolia ... :nailbiting:

Something else is in the person/deity's right hand (on the left side of the coin).

Then again, by rotating the image 45°, I can imagine I see an arched bridge.

At first I imagined it to be the wolf suckling Romulus & Remus on those Constantinian-era commemoratives, but ... no.

Or one of those reclining river gods. But... I think not.

    *shrug*

Well maybe for the side shown - but we are trying to guess what is on the other side.

I see a female deity in long garment, stg. frontal, looking l., resting with raised l. hand on long staff (sceptre?) and holding in extended r. hand unknown object.

    Time for the third clue:

He wanted to fit in with the “boys”.
