1998 penny

    Happy Holidays again. I was wanting to get some info on why this penny is like this? See pic's. It's also quite a bit thicker then a normal penny as you can see in the first pic I posted. It is a normal 1998 penny beside this one I found today. Thanks for any info

    Could be a slight Finned Rim. This is caused due to a high pressure strike. Nothing major.

    Your Cent is damaged though.. Plating was affected exposing the Zinc underneath.
