Wow, outta of my price range. I would try to find one just as nice for super cheap, which can be done with folks selling whole collections of coins and not really being too worrried of what they bring. But I will tell you this atleast in my area here ... Coins going for way over the Greysheet Bid/ask price are raising prices at my local coin show. The dealers who usually deal just in grey sheet I have heard saying "Well I can get xxx$$ For this coin on the ebay. Which does suck!
Thats what I was thinking, but my Greysheet shows the 26-S @ 15,000 in 64, I better check for a typo, I didn't remember it being that high, the 23-S ( $1750 in 64 ) I can chance if I squeeze the budget elsewhere
You may have to sell one of those 69S ddo coins that your holding on to or that roll of BU 1914 D's ! =) One could wish huh!
I thought the ghosting happened when the die gap was set too close and excess pressure caused the outline of Lincoln on the reverse ? I would think that would be early in the use of the dies. Am I remembering incorrectly ? Not arguing at all, just trying to make sure I get my facts straight.
Thanks, look dude.. sorry to be so hard on you about your selling practices in the other thread. Its just that I don't believe it is right to be able to not send a coin to the winning bidder because you didn't get the $$$ price you wanted.
I was a little off on the 23-S. It went for $3383. Is this another case of the slab adding value to the coin? And someone got a bargain. The 24-S only went for $3447. BTW Jack, the gray sheet list the price for 64 RED. This one was only RB. Thus the lower(if you can call $3447 low) price.
Yeah, your right. I got passed up on both, didn't even try after they went so high, I also missed the 24-D tonight, it was not that nice. Im savin for ANA in March. Did you see this? : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=120213318482&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=002 compared to this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130191795928&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=003 Just shows how unpredictable it gets out there huh? I may list my PCGS 64RD lol
Cannot say I specifically saw the first, but that is about the going price. I am looking for a full red one. But that second blew me away.
I'm glad they didn't see this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230215289928 The reverse streaks are picture, coin is primo, not streaky t all
Im sad to say that the 21 S was cleaned and retoned. It didn't even look like the picture. I sent it back to the guy who is now giving me a bunch of flack saying that it was original and this and that. Looks like i have $300 + tied up for a while but I didn't get stuck with a problem coin. I honestly had a really nice strike and the wheat ears are nice and full. I probably could have got my money out of the coin for resale but Im glad I sent it back.
You ARE getting a refund tho correct? He's going to refund with just an additude and not a fight? Thats good, better than a fight anyday.
Man I really hope so because I have my eye on a really nice 14 d for my set in xf/au. It will cost me over 900 though. =(
