    microscope advice

I'm thinking about getting a microscope. I would like to spend around $200 or less. Would sure appreciate any advice on brands and best places to buy online. Thanks!

For 200 bucks I would buy a digital blue microscope for around $20 bucks, and then buy a really nice coin to look at thru the scope. Here are some snap shots from it. We have example of 60x, 10x, and 200x. Not sure if this is what you are looking for. Just my opinion.

I agree but the cheapest digital blue I found was just under $100, still a good price from what I see. Where do you get them for $20?

Wow - when did they go up that much! My father got my QX5 over a 14 months ago - he paid like $29 bucks for the dang thing. He paid like 49.95 for his and was then a little ticked when he found my xmas present a lot cheaper. I do not remember which store it was - but they were cheap. I do know he found a wholesaler - I do not know how he does it, but when game cube came out he found a wholesaler for it also (saved a $100 bucks on it). Sorry about that - I have not priced them since I got mine. I do know this they are made out of cheap plastic, but I like it.
