1983 d copper

    Ok.. When do you plan to purchase a gram scale? The suspense will kill me :nailbiting:

    Or.. Take a popsicle stick. Make a see saw device. Put any Cent that is pre 1982 on one side and all your 1983's on the other. (One at a time of course)
    If the pre 1982 is heavier.. then your 1983's are 2.5 gram copper plated zinc.

    I can tell simply by the look of it. It is copper-plated zinc.

    I myself sometimes put aside 1983 Cents that look like copper.. Weigh all of them!
    I know the difference also but hey.. You never know ;)

    I hear ya. But seeing that there are more known 1943 copper cents than 1983 ones, I never get my hopes up.

    Copper cents will usually look like copper. This does not.
    My digital gram scale was less than $10 on Amazon, and I have been using it for years, thousands of times.
