    Yes, it's an intriguing description which may not be too far off the mark. Although there is an inconsistency with RIC's labelling of these wreath denarii from Rome, I do believe all of them are oak.

    David Atherton, By a pleasant twist of fate the portrait & most of the wreath are intact despite the strange shaped planchet. Great looking portrait too. :joyful:
