Would you buy 4 Silver eagles NGC MS69 ( any year no 2 alike) for $100 ? Just wondering how others feel about these and at this price. :kewl:
Besides being cool coins and collectibles, can you guys explain why you would buy them?? Is there an investment side of this I may be missing?? Just curious as Im new to this as well. Jim
I like silver eagles - even though to me they are bullion coins. I like the design. To me any any pre-2000 are worth $25 bucks graded at ms69. I also think they will go up in value with time and the price of silver. The post 2000's (with the exception of anniversary sets) will probably hold steady longer. I think they minted so many what value they bring will be more related to the price of silver. But cost aside - I like the coins. Now having said all that I think Morgans are also a nice coin, but certainly have much more history than ASE's. And keep being curious - the more questions, the more answers, the more you learn and pretty soon you will have your own opinions. So note history could prove me wrong on silver eagles, but I think as more collectors start collecting they will look at modern coins first. Not realizing the history and the affordability of the older coins. MY opinion only.
i might not. MS69's are given out like candy, unless they are older coins. at $25 each, it just seems high for a coin that has millions graded the same. but with silver on the rise... i dunno .. tough call.
I wouldn't. Too many out there already. I like the silver eagle. It's a really beutiful coin design. With the exception of the 1996, it's value right now is mostly tied to the spot price of silver.
