8 silver quarters, one of which was 40% pulled from about 650 quarters I searched. That’s about 1 in every 2 rolls. The rest are toners. I may keep one or two.

Silver coins never get searched (meaning I don’t use a loupe on them). It’s my rule. No one will believe me, but I’ll either search them years down the road, or trade them silver for gold US coins. I figure the allure of them being unsearched will make someone more willing to make the trade.

13 silver nickels pulled from about 275 nickels. That’s about 2 per roll.

30-40 wheaties pulled from the pile of vents you see in the red box. Haven’t counted them, but a pretty good ratio.

My current penny box is not teeming with copper or wheats.
I'm pretty sure I've got someone else's searched rolls.
Oh well it gives me something to do.

Just did another box of halves where half the coins had a huge K on the obverse. Will take me awhile to dump these in portions because the tellers dump the coins behind the counters at the banks I go to. Some jerk out there is laughing.

  6. Normally I just do Cent bags. Occasionally get rolls of Jefferson's. Picked up 15 rolls this week and found
    1944 P
    1948 P
    1953 S
    2009 D only my second ever 2009
    Peace 4
    Keelboat 1
    Bison 14
    ocean 10

Picked up 3 boxes of halves today. Opened all through to search for enders, will search the rolls later. First box was only one with enders, put them together for picture: (2) impaired proofs, (1) 1967, (1) reverse ender.

Well, this was another good box from Loomis:
    (4) 1964
    (32) 40% ers
    (1) 1970-S 40% silver impaired proof
    (8) impaired clad proofs
A good number of AU clad coins
9 total proofs is a record for me. Somebody dumped a collection. I hope the companion box is good, but it did not have any enders. Could be the Christmas silver is rising!

The double crimped rolls were bummer.
The cointainer rolls are just a bit better.
56d and 57 wheats. And some spotless 79 to 82 copper.

I keep getting bumped from the watch list of this thread.
Still searching. Have picked up some yellow (loomis?) rolls recently, but haven't found any silver (or DDO/Rs and what not).
Halves are surprisingly scarce for me. I would think during the holidays i would find a lot... but seems to be at an all time low (for me personally).
Wishing everyone good luck finding some cool stuff!

I notice the same thing myself.

I think what's happening is that I get a notification and forget to look at the thread. Once you've gotten one notification, you don't get any more notifications for the same thread until after the next time you view it. I think.

Headed back home today after visiting the kids and celebrating the grand daughter’s 3rd birthday. She’s still a few years away from me showing her how to CRH, lol. Got a Loomis half dollar box in their hometown, will search it tomorrow. Hoping to snag some silver on somebody else's Turf :greedy: Filled up on regular gas (86 Octane), did not think I would ever see gas this price again!

    $30 MWR dimes: nada

    $20 MWR nickels: 1940-D, 1956

Kind of a boring bunch overall.

@TexAg holy cow, it’s $3/gal for the cheap grade where I live! Evidently, I need to build a personal pipeline from the south to the west

1 bank today had $10 cwr halves, but the teller who had them was off today :(. I’ll consider heading there tomorrow after work.

Texas, western half. Cheapest gas I’ve seen in a long time. Saw this price at several stations along our trip.

Companion box to my 37 silver box from last week - not so good. But the very last roll saved me from a skunk with a 1964. Also found a 1978-S impaired proof, 2 other NIFCs, and another 1974-D DDO.

Does the Mint dump proof coins they may have in their vaults that went unsold and are taking up space? TY.

No! They come from the public. People take them out of sets and spend them.

Been doing a box a week since moving back to Michigan. This past one was a skunk but the teller did have these saved. Don't do much with paper but very cool find to buy at face.
