Pretty much the same as it's been in 2018.... and 2017, 2016, 2015 and so on, just a little worse and with more attitude.
Variety folks are getting better, then the past ... Lets hope this keeps up ...... I'll be in heaven ..............
One thing is certain - it will NOT be continuous threads praising the American Innovations Dollar Coin series. Who wants the other side of this action?
OH MY GOD I FOUND THIS COIN IN A PARKING LOT AND IT IS A CRAZY RARE ERROR AND WORTH A MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!! What, you say it isn't? You say it's damaged? You say it isn't even worth a cent? Edited: Please read the rules on abbrev. and symbols in posts. i read an article on the interwebs about super rare erorrs and know i now moar then alll of u combined and i will sumbit it too the gr8ters and it will come bak as a sooper rare errooor and you will weep teers of blood that you did not find it first you suckers!!!!! HAHAHAHA
So once again, are you ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you want to take the 'net side in the shows vs. 'net thing?
I've never been a dealer at a show. But I've seen dealers at shows. They get plenty of these same type of inquiries. This is not a show vs 'net thing - this is an educated vs uneducated thing. Just so happens it is a heck of a lot easier to ask a question on a website than it is to travel to a show to ask a question. So there's a lot more of these questions. But, if you learn how to filter them out, they aren't really a big deal.
Apparently doubled dies are everywhere according to the posts I have been seeing here. Also the nearly microscopic "errors" just kill me. I have enough trouble seeing the coins without my reading glasses.
I can tell you that Mint error coins are becoming more popular at the monthly shows I attend, especially major error types (pre-1980 off centers, wrong planchet, wrong stock, double struck coins, major broadstrikes, etc.).
