well, on jan 15, i ordered the proof silver dollar, and the proof half bald eagle commemeratives. yesterday, i got an email saying they had shipped the silver dollar, but it said nothing about the half. my question is, would they possibly be sending the coins out at different times? or did the mint just mess up and forget to ship my half dollar? monkeyman
i got the same e mail that the 1 $ coin was shipped on 1/25/08 and it also had nothing on the half either so you are not alone
The Mint frequently ships different items from the same order at different times. It's nothing to be concerned about. The extra shipments will be at no cost to you.
The proof bald eagle half is going to be ready to ship on 1/29. Today as a matter of fact. Hell, I am still waiting for my UNC. 07 ASE, I ordered it in Nov. Backordered to 1/31.
I received the same email about the Bald Eagle 1$ and the half. When I went to my account on the mint's website it said the 1$ coin shipped and the half was backordered. Guess they'll arrive on different dates.
I rec'd an email from the mint saying my coin was shipped on the 25th. Rec'd the 1$ coin on Monday. No word on the 1/2 as of yet.
Got the dollar today... nice... was upside down in the presentation case though lol... Halves still backordered.
