I like sharing some of my collection with my grandkids. Why wait until I'm gone. Let them enjoy them now while we can talk about them.

I tried to find a cool coin to post but I didn't have anything that matched with the Thaler - which I absolutely love - or a War-time foreign coin minted by the US. Heck, even a Barber. But no luck. I did however, find a picture of this silver Canadian medal commemorating the Royal visit in 1939. I got it off ebay when I was deployed to Africa right around this time in 2015. I got the copper version as well. I love the design showing the map of Canada as well as their route through the country. I need to dig this medal out and give it some love and better pictures.

As always, appreciate the contest and love seeing everyone's cool coins

Aye, that is a good thing to do, infact that is what got me into coins my self 10 years ago. He had given me 2 peace dollars, a 1925 s and a 1927. I had lost interest in the hobby for a while but then I found those dollars again and well, from now the rest is history. While my granddad is dead you should make sure that your grand kids get the fun in coins as I did.

I love the Maria Theresia Thalers. If I owned one, I would probably Thaler to lose a little weight and change her hairstyle!

I’m a fan of circam but most of my examples are US Lincoln cents. Hope I find more.
