I absolutely love worn gold from the C, D, and S mints (before 1873).

    I'm thinking VG10.

My uneducated guess is that VG10 sounds about right, very neat coin.

Goodness. Worn Gold is so sexy.

    I'm with CBD here on a Fine-12.

Stupid question. But I've never known... how do you pronounce Dahlonega?

    I always pronounce it DAH-lone-GAH.

Considering gradeflation and the scarce D mint mark, VG10-F12 sounds reasonable. I’d personally grade it SN+ as in super nice plus!

I don't say it often, but I always thought it was Dal-O-nay-ga. Kinda like the race track Talladega.

I have a piece of New Orleans early gold but adding a piece of DAHL-ON-EGAH early gold to my collection sure looks tempting....
