It weighs right, sounds right etc. (correct silver), not sure why I am questioning but thought someone may have some insight as the obverse just looks too "good" like no real bag marks that I am used to seeing on a circ 89-CC. Sorry for poor photos but wondering if anyone would be able to tell any info by looking. Thanks in advance!
Yea, i was going to say also, the blurriness and orientation of it make it hard to get a good look at it. An upright clear photo would make things way easier for us....A close up photo of the date and mint mark would help too !!
That makes 3... everything I see is a no Go! From the color of the coin to the blurry photo Image. The stars are off they look smaller than what a real Morgan would have on its obverse. I'm feeling bad mojo from this one!
That coin screams fake to me. So many things wrong with it. Maybe better pictures will help? If you don't already own it, stay far away...
13 Color looks off, and there is no luster which is unusual for the grade of the coin. Valuable and frequently counterfeited date. Some places have no details where there should be details.
Thanks guys for all the feedback; did not buy, took photos with my phone, hence the bad quality, I'll let you know what happens if Im able to submit it but it is definitely questionable to me just its "look"
Submit it? I’m a bit confused. Do you own the coin or not? You mentioned not buying it but then said you took these photos yourself.
Looks fake to me, but photos aren't great. If genuine, it would be a five figure coin. Chances of encountering a genuine 1889-CC in this condition that isn't certified are slim, but not zero. It does raise a flag though. If it's being offered cheap, that's another flag. Run! Cal
