I’m glad you know how to read a coin photo and video better than people who have seen it in hand. Thanks for your troll post of the day. Looking forward to tomorrow’s installment.
My fault forgot it’s impossible to actually discuss anything here. I did learn in emelmetary school what a foot looks like, if you want to keep trolling that that video was close to that go right ahead. Would love to see your comments if PCGS had called it that with that video. What a joke
We would love to hear YOUR comments if PCGS had called it that with that video. You little snarky, condescending weenie
The only joke here is your hypocritical post. The very person who says you can’t grade from a photo and will defend PCGS slabs ad nauseam is suddenly an expert who can grade better than Anacs just based on a photo (and later a video). Unlike grading which is subjective, UDM can actually be measured. And it was affirmed by professional graders at Anacs-who saw the coin in hand.
Correct me if I'm wrong (someone usually does), but I USED TO BE and ANACS submitter, in the small slab days, and I was pretty SURE that UDM was just their description for DMPL, same thing. No?
They use 3 levels: PL, DMPL, & UDM. UDM has stronger mirrors than DMPL. You can find it in the superlative designations section here: http://www.anacs.com/contentPages/FAQServices.aspx
But everybody else gets by with two. Mannnnn, this hobby gets weirder by the second. Anything to not allow comparing one service to another.
Technically NGC also has three when adding in the star. There are some slabs that have MS “XX” STAR DPL. Like this one: https://www.pcgs.com/auctionprices/item/1882-s-1-pl/97141/-7533418293677625844
Somebody left a green "skidmark" on that slab. Probably the juice of the very rare and very dangerous unripe CAC berry. It is told in some regions that the CAC berry turns golden yellow when allowed to ripen fully.
Same as it is now, that the UDM designation is redundant and dumb. Why not add a Super Duper Super Cereal Ultra Deep Mirror while were at it? The DMPLs of today are basically the UDMs of the past anyway As far as grading from photos and videos I never said anything about the grade, but it is WELL known the pictures and videos often INCREASE the PL/DMPL/UDM ect look of a coin. But there's no point trying to actually discuss anything with you trolls so you can learn to figure these things out on your own
Darn, another perfectly good trademark registration shot to ... And I thought the guy who won't grade from photos was ME.
The only person here trolling is you. A reply that had nothing to do with you (showing that Anacs still does the UDM designation) turns into you being able to better judge the objective qualities of a coin than the professional graders who saw it in hand. But there is no point in discussion with someone who is so blind as to miss the hypocrisy in their posts.
If only we could get more coin guys out of their shells and stop being so reticent to state an opinion. Ever notice that?
An obverse only UDM at that what a joke. Circulated grades you can to an extent especially with XF and lower, but trying to do MS grades or top pops from photos is a fools game. We have plenty of those around here though who think they're going to change the market and redefine collecting by their posts here.
What a sad, sad post. The hypocrisy continues to reek from your posts. Calls out people on this forum as being fools for redefining collecting in the same post that he wants to ridicule a TPG and redefine the standards of dmpl that has been used for years.
