Ok, so my knowledge of paper money is really limited. I know that 1934 notes are not worth much in low grade condition, but what about a $10 Silver Certificate Star Note? Any information about grade and value would be appreciated. Thank you!
Your note appears to be a solid VF, and with BP 649 would be a mule. It’s a series 1934 face on a series 1934A back (BP 585 or higher). Current value would be around $100, maybe a little more if it has original paper qualities.
Nice note but unfortunately the condition isnt the best, and one Of the first things considered is condition, with that said it does Look like there are several vertical folds like it was folded in to a square and then the major horizontal one, also the back of The note is soiled and the edge issues are plenty would say If this note was submitted for grading would most likely be in The VF-20 range and value would be considered on that grade In my opinion.
Do you concur with SteveinTampa’s valuation? And how would I title this if I wanted to sell it on E-Bay? FRN 1934 $10 Silver Certificate Star Note Mule
I would put the note in an auction setting on the bay versus a fixed Price, you might be surprised though it all depends how many People are looking for that style note, if there are currently none listed you have a much better chance optimizing your profits. also you can do a search there as well for closed listings to see if anybody has sold something similar, everybody has there own opinion on value but remember this old saying: "Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay" I think because its a "STAR" your chances are good in exceeding the $125 mark and maybe a little more.
