Alright....been watching @Shrews1994 and slowly feeding her photos of ancient coins on her threads (like I've been doing with a few other promising collectors of US coins whom I know can be flipped). I knew she'd come to the dark side of collecting sooner or later. That is a very nice ancient coin, and the beginning of a passion and addiction that will be greater than anything US coins could ever offer you. Once you go ancient, you never....well, you know what they say.
Nice one Shrews. The same coin helped get me started. Although I have been tempted by the dark side. I Tow the line.
Welcome to the Ancients Forum, @Shrews1994 ! Nice Constantine. Here's a composite image of your coin and info.
Congrats @Shrews1994 ! Very nice coin, and well done capturing it. Although I do not collect later Roman Bronzes, I would truly enjoy your fine example in my collection. Well done. Welcome to Coin Talk Ancients threads. I hope to see many more postings, and hope you will share the passion for Ancients as many of us do. Personally, I started collecting when I was 9, in US coins. However, 30 years ago I started collecting Ancients as it fuled my passion for History, and especially Ancient Histories. I have not looked back since... US coinage has lost its “hobby appeal” as everyone seems more interested in if their coins are fake, having them slabbed, or what is it worth. This is opposed to my original passion in US / World coins of understanding history and why coins were made. Ancients MORE than fulfills my coin collecting passion. A really cool and easy way to see many coins and their postings, check out the Ancients threads. Also, I use the Search bar in the above right section. It really helps me learn from the experts that post here. Kindest Regards, Brian PS: Thanks for piqueing her interest @Sallent
Once you get to 25,000+ likes you won't even care anymore, but congrats anyway. Last time I checked my likes I had something like 24,000. I have no clue how many I have right now and I honestly don't care to check. We love giving likes for good images and good content on this section of the forum, so that is a nice incentive to keep active here, if likes are your thing.
Welcome to ancients. Great selection to make your entrance, a good looking coin of a baaaaaad man! I always get a kick outta his coins though. And like the bad guys of Rome. Here's a couple of mine.
