Here's a Crispus that's going out from Miami to another forum member as a gift. Ive been meaning to mail it out, but it's just so darn nice that I decided to hang on to it for another week or two before I ship it just so I can hold it and look at it some more before it becomes someone else's. Can you blame me?

I didn't think it would be so hard to let go of it, but it's so nicely centered, well struck, and it's an eastern issue...so it's got a lot going for it.

    Post whatever you want.

Inspiring! :angelic: To give away something you love is a truly generous act and sets a great example of charity and goodwill. You will no longer own the coin after you give it away, but you will always be a part of it's provenance.

That's lovely! The recipient of that one will really be happy with it and will be proud to say it's from the @Sallent collection!

Alexandrian Mint camp gates for Crispus are a bit scarce, and who doesn't love camp gates? I'm pretty sure whom I'm sending it to will love it.

This coin has reminded me that I need to beef up my Late Roman Bronze collection. There's a lot of nice coins to be found during this time period, but some of us tend to overlook this period unfairly just because there's not much silver coinage or large bronzes to be found in the 4rth century, but the coins are still very interesting once one gets past their bias.

Super coin, a very nice gift!

I had to say a tearful goodbye to a couple of my coins today; got offers I couldn't pass up

It's hard to say goodbye sometimes. :(

Fortunately, my Crispus is safe! Crispus principia ivventvtis.jpg

Excellent strike on that one. I don’t specifically collect camp gates but find myself buying more and more as I find nice examples.
