Those are some fantastic coins! I've never seen the likes of 'em!

From Bhutan I think we have two choices - China or India. I'll take us to India with a 1973 (Mumbai Mint) 50 paise (KM 60). It commemorates the 25th anniversary of independence.

With India in play, I'm forced to return to Ceylon. There were three Ceylon pieces in the old 1901 Victorian Type Set I collected for my daughter, and I've posted two to this thread already, so here's the third. It's much more modest than the other two.

So there's Ceylon. Play from modern Sri Lanka.

These "1860" issues were listed in Yeoman's Modern World Coins and in The Standard Catalog for years. Now I can only find them in my latest version of Unusual World Coins as "Medallic coinage".

I have one of those Cambodia coins too, and it looks weird. Wonder if it is a cast copy or was it struck with a damaged die? Here is just the reverse. 1860 KH 10 c rev.JPG

I've read that there were many restrikes over time using worn dies.

As for those Cambodian coins - Numista still lists it as KM 43 and X 3 - https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces17441.html. I could not find them in my 2015 (8th edition) Standard Catalog of World Coins - 1801-1900. Interesting; the Catalog says that the the king asked that France protect them from the Thais and Vietnamese, so the French attached Cambodia to their Cochin-China protectorate in 1863.

Anyway, from the Philippines I move us to 1959 Korea with this 10-hwan (KM 1).

I like that coin. I have a 20 Francs that I picked up in Djibouti a few years ago when I was there. Has almost the same reverse but it isn't as nice of an obverse, IMO.
