I cant weigh it to know if its copper how else can I tell?

    I found this penny in my change googled it and I unfortunately dont have a scale to be able to weigh it to know if its indeed copper or not how else can i test it to find out?

    Make a small balance. A pencil and a Popsicle stick does it. I have used that setup in the past.

    Looks plated.. What does it matter to you if it's copper or plated?

    You could invest in a pocket jewelry scale with a .01 gram resolution for about $10 - $20. Handy to have for coin collecting.

    It's kind of a moot point, since as @paddyman98 mentioned, it's not going to be worth very much either way. Unless you just want to know.
