I have a new question. I received my Red Book and was looking for a picture showing the difference between the 1974 large and small date. I don't see it, nor do I see it listed as an error. What's up with that? Maybe I looked on wrong page.

Thanks for website. I was just wondering why it's not in Red Book.

Unfortunately red book is not all inclusive. You need an arsenal of resources to figure anything out.

    Minimal value, minimal publication probably.

Oh, okay. Well I've put the 74s in a pile to look at closely.

This one is very subtle. An eye loupe is very useful.

You're right because I've looked at some of them, and I haven't been able to see the difference. That's why I put them in a bag for later inspection.

The Whitman coin folder doesn’t even have a spot to differentiate between large and small dates for that year.

    I didn't know there was a L and S for that year.

I had forgotten about the LCRC. I've used it before. It's one of the very best for Lincoln cents, in my opinion.
