A little score today, not sure if I should open the roll of pennies or not, and do old unused coin tubes have any significant value or appeal? Never seen half dollar tubes that hadnt been full of halves or as old as these, pretry cool ni matter what aaaaaaa/
You could probably get a bit of money for them on eBay. But you know that the winning bidder would be somebody who's going to load them with dreck, and then trumpet them as OLD ORIGINAL BANK WRAPPED ROLLS UNSEARCHED...
I've checked both ends, a 53 on one and a wheat back on the other, just sent mother in law a message to see if she remembers her dad rolling his change and if she could remember if he did it to save or just to deposit . I'll see what she has to say and then probably crack it open.
Mother in law just remembers getting rolls of pennies in her Christmas stocking. My neighbor is hounding me to sell it to him for $10, think I'll hold on to it, would I be able to video opening it up and post it on one of the forrum?
52 wheat pennies inside. The oldest is 1911, up to 1957. Quite a few 1944 p in really decent shape. Any year I should look for in particular?
1914D, 1922, and 1931S are the biggest key dates between 1911 and 1957. There are some other key and semi-key dates but these are the most sought after. Nice find
Having troubles with getting my pics, it's full of wheats, oldest is 1911 up to 1958, quite a few 1944s in nice shape. Mother in law has some packs that glued or taped shut, she is gonna part with one .
Lots of 57Ps a few 57 denvDenv as well. A 36, an 11 a 39 and 29 then looks like the rest are 1944 and about all of the 50s. Another roll tommarro after work, it's taped or glued at the ends according to mother in law, she has it stashed somewhere in storage
