Ok, pretty sure this would get Details - Questionable Toning at a Third Party Grading service. :p

Yap stones. Good luck with that.

It's painfully simple, Herr HC.MV, I do NOT buy into the myth that toning = original surfaces and blast white = dipped. In fact, I consider it to be the ULTIMATE lie, in that color = screwed around with and white = likely original.

The obverse looks heated to me. Was the safe in a fire?

The TPGs aren't going to be privy to the storage method but the reverse of the coin does look like an EOR. The problem is that the colors on the coin are not remotely acceptable. The coin bears the look of coins that was improperly stored in a hot humid environment for years. I wouldn't mind if it were deemed QT or environmental damage, as long as it is graded as a problem coin, because that is what it is.

THANK YOU, Paul. We agree on that'n. But see how many otherwise intelligent people are okay with it?

No, I don't see it. Every post I saw in this thread called the coin a problem coin.

If you do send the coin in for grading, send photos of that coin on the end of the roll. It can't hurt.
