Two 1840-O dimes for attribution help please

    I first posted the first one about 6 years ago, but it was a bit inconclusive.
    Maybe one of the new members knowledgeable in the series can confirm?

    Both are the small 'O' variety.

    Is the first one an F-109? the other one?

    The second one is denticle position -3C, so 110 and its later die state 110a are the only possible varieties. I don't see the die crack from the U so I'm thinking 110.

    I believe you are correct, the first one is 109.
