That would be an off-center strike not sure of value! What do you think @paddyman98 has the date so that's cool!
My Dad is going through coins he's had since the 1980's. He doesn't recall where he got them from, but most likely penny rolls from the bank. He used to go through them looking for errors and this is one he found that I couldn't identify
Very cool find. I have a couple but they were purchased not found. I would feel very lucky to find one in circulation. I'm guessing that one to be 80% off. JMO so we'll wait for more knowledgeable people to respond!
off-center with date. very cool. @paddyman98 might have that value ??? Off-center coins with the dates bring a higher premium than no date off-center's.
As stated - Off Center Strike Value $4.00 - $6.00 I just purchased about 6 examples for $5.00 each Here is my thread - https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1c-off-center-additions-to-my-collection.327097/ Los compre en mi viaje a Puerto Rico
The Price would actually depend on a number of different factors ... The date is a good thing since 1982 is a very popular cent in the Lincoln series . Along with the 80% off strike could be very nice to the right 1982 collector . But then again that's just my opinion .... Infact I would hold on to it and place it in auction to see what it does if it were me . Js
